This piece was composed for a string quartet during the creation of "Fshs n t s for Nordic Affect and Caput." The instrumentation is simplified for the string quartet. While the overall structure, elements of difference and repetition, pitch material, and the circular score with ice-melting video, are not significantly different from "Fshs n t s for Nordic Affect and Caput." However, the extensive use of various extended techniques obscures the structure of the piece, creating a more complex soundscape. It is a contrasting piece to "Fshs n t s - for Nordic Affect and Caput," which attempted to bring the structure to the foreground.
