Stillness, Melting, Sounding - for five ice and objects
Five pieces of ice are suspended, and the sounds of dripping water are captured using contact microphones and hydrophones. The sound quality changes as the droplets fall onto different materials. This performance explores the raw relationship between materials, time, and sound, emphasizing the natural process of transformation. No effects or artificial processing are used—only the pure, unaltered sounds of ice, water, and their interactions with space. Inspired by the philosophy of Mono-ha, it invites deep listening to the inherent qualities of materials as they exist and change.
